The developers of Celebrated Plants™, a new line of improved plants with lower water and maintenance needs, have launched supporting point-of-purchase materials to promote sales of the plants at the retail level.
The P.O.P. focuses on the lower maintenance needs of the plants, with a main message of “Celebrated Plants Work Hard So You Don’t Have To…” The graphics resemble highway construction signage, and play up on the “plants at work” theme in order to attract shoppers’ attention.
“We really had a desire to ‘get out of the box’ in our thinking about the design of this P.O.P,” says Christian Broucqsault, Executive Director of Marketing for VersaScapes, LLC, the company that developed Celebrated Plants for the United States. “Ultimately we brainstormed and produced a concept that we feel communicates some of the best benefits of the plants in a compelling way.”
Broucqsault is quick to point out that the best features of Celebrated Plants also include their aesthetics and other performance traits.

“There are several plants available right now, and within those varieties, there is a range of colors, textures and forms. In the next two years, there will be more than twelve varieties in the Celebrated Plants line. Nurseries, specifiers, retailers and consumers have a great opportunity to liven up their landscapes with fresh new choices.”
Celebrated Plants includes Breeze™, a fine leafed and graceful lomandra longifolia; the distinctive dark green strappy-leafed Big Rev™ (Dianella revoluta); the compact bright green and red Tasred™ (Dianella tasmanica); and other improved selections. While there is a great deal of variety of looks and forms within the line of Celebrated Plants, they all share at least one benefit for users: lower need for water and maintenance.
